Retro Bathing Beauties

It's finally summer which means I get to do one of my favorite things: go swimming! I love vintage bathing suits and am always scouring friperies for cute suits. Mostly I find ugly floral one pieces from the late 90s but sometimes I stumble across a real gem. I just got a great one from the 70s by Jantzen, it's purple and striped with cross-over straps. I'm going swimming today and can't wait to wear it.
One can never have too many bathing suits, in my opinion. My next acquisition will most definitely be a high waisted sixties style bikini. Usually you can't find 60s bikinis in thrift stores because they're almost always snapped up by high-priced vintage stores. Etsy is great for finding unique vintage suits at reasonable prices. I picked out a few of my favorites:

1. Vintage 60s Bikini - Le Mollusque 2. 1960s MOD Bikini with Bloomers - Miss Farfalla 3. 1960s Red Polka Dot Bikini - Midnight Mart 4. Late 40s Early 50s Blue Hawaii Beach Playsuit - Coral Vintage 5. Vintage 1960s Playsuit - Raleigh Vintage 6. Vintage 80s Blue Polka Dot Bikini - Down Home Honey 7. 50s Vintage Cat Eye Bamboo Sunglasses - Vogue Vintage Clothing

I can't wait to go home to the beach! Pools are fine for cooling off and hangin' around, but there's nothing like the sand and surf.
