Satanic Style: Minnie Castevets

My favorite satanist, Ruth Gordon's Minnie Castevets from Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby (1968) is also one the best dressed characters in film. She's the perfect amount of crazy old lady and sophisticated Manhattanite, with a bit of devil worshipping mixed in just to shake things up. I love her overdone make up and slightly purple hair, and of course her psychedelic shift dresses. The bright colors and piled on costume jewelry make her seem like a sweet eccentric old lady when she is anything but.
